2025 NFL Honors; Celebrating the League's Top Performers
The 2025 NFL Honors ceremony, held at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, celebrated the league’s top performers from the 2024 season. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen claimed the NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, marking his first MVP honor. Allen led the Bills to a 13-4 record and an AFC Championship Game appearance, throwing for 28 touchdowns and rushing for 12 while minimizing turnovers. His leadership and consistency were pivotal in Buffalo’s success.
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley was named Offensive Player of the Year after a historic season. Barkley rushed for 2,000 yards, falling just 100 yards short of Eric Dickerson’s single-season record, and scored 15 total touchdowns. His performance was instrumental in the Eagles’ 14-3 record and deep playoff run.
Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Surtain allowed the fewest receiving yards among cornerbacks (306) and tied his career-high with four interceptions, solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s premier defenders.
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels took home Offensive Rookie of the Year after a standout debut season. Daniels set multiple rookie records, including 891 rushing yards and 25 passing touchdowns, leading the Commanders to a 12-5 record and a playoff berth.
Los Angeles Rams edge rusher Jared Verse was named Defensive Rookie of the Year. Verse recorded 4.5 sacks, 66 tackles, and 76 quarterback pressures, making an immediate impact on the Rams’ defense.
Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell was voted Coach of the Year after guiding the team to a 13-4 record despite losing rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy to a preseason injury. O’Connell’s leadership helped the Vikings exceed expectations and secure the NFC North title.
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow won Comeback Player of the Year for the second time in his career. Burrow bounced back from a season-ending wrist injury in 2023 to lead the league in passing yards (4,918) and touchdowns (43) in 2024.
The ceremony highlighted the resilience, talent, and leadership of the NFL’s brightest stars, setting the stage for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.
