Atishi Secures Kalkaji Seat in Delhi Assembly Elections 2025
After the results of the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi won the Kalkaji seat. She won this seat by a margin of 3,580 votes. Following this victory, Atishi organized a grand roadshow in Kalkaji, which was attended by a large number of her supporters.
Even before the election results, Atishi had assured that AAP would remain in power and Arvind Kejriwal would become Delhi’s Chief Minister for the fourth time. She said that this election was a battle between good and evil, and the people of Delhi had chosen the side of good.
However, AAP also faced some major setbacks in this election. The party’s senior leader and minister Saurabh Bhardwaj lost the Greater Kailash seat, while Arvind Kejriwal lost the New Delhi seat. Despite this, AAP won 22 seats, while BJP remained ahead with 48 seats.
During the election campaign, BJP attacked AAP over the pollution of the Yamuna River and the renovation of the Chief Minister’s residence. Meanwhile, AAP made its work in the education sector an electoral issue and claimed that BJP would stop free education if it came to power.
Atishi’s victory and her roadshow have sparked new hope among AAP supporters, although the party faced several challenges in this election.
