Congresswoman Nancy Mace Accuses Ex-Fiancé and Others of Heinous Crimes Against Women

U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina delivered a nearly hour-long speech on the House floor on Monday, February 10, 2025, accusing her ex-fiancé, Patrick Bryant, and three other men of committing “some of the most heinous crimes against women imaginable.” Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, alleged that the men engaged in rape, nonconsensual filming, and sexual exploitation of women and underage girls. She claimed to have uncovered evidence of these crimes in November 2023, including videos of herself and other women being recorded without their knowledge.

Mace described finding videos on Bryant’s phone of women being sexually assaulted while incapacitated, as well as a clip of herself undressed and unaware she was being filmed. She stated that the discovery left her feeling as though she had been “raped” and that her body had been “stolen.” Mace also accused South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson of failing to investigate the allegations, despite her providing evidence. Wilson’s office denied the claims, stating that they had no prior knowledge of the accusations and that it is not the attorney general’s role to initiate investigations.

The State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) confirmed that an investigation into Bryant for assault, harassment, and voyeurism has been ongoing since December 14, 2023, after being contacted by U.S. Capitol Police. Bryant has denied the allegations, stating that he will cooperate fully with legal processes to clear his name. Mace, who is considering a run for South Carolina governor in 2026, has set up a victims’ hotline for others who may have been affected by the accused men.

The case remains under investigation, with SLED stating that a “well-documented case file” will be made available upon its conclusion. Mace’s speech has drawn significant attention, with the congresswoman vowing to ensure that the accused men “will never be allowed to get away with it or hide again.”
