Quigley, a Philadelphia Eagles fan, had initially vowed never to return to New Orleans after the tragedy but decided to attend the Super Bowl in honor of Bech, fulfilling a promise he made to his late friend.
Kelce, 37, who met Quigley prior to the game, praised his resilience, saying, “You wouldn’t even know something happened if he wasn’t in a wheelchair before the Rams game.” Quigley, who is still using crutches, received a personal invitation from the Eagles to attend the championship game at Caesars Superdome, where he was joined by friends and family. Kelce reflected on the duality of tragedy and hope, stating, “On one end, something terrible can happen, and on the other, something so beautiful can happen.”
