Academy and Grammy Award-winning artist Jon Batiste will perform the national anthem at Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans on February 9, 2025. Batiste, a native of Metairie, Louisiana, comes from a family deeply rooted in New Orleans’ musical heritage. Known for his jazz and R&B influences, Batiste has released six studio albums, including the Grammy-winning “We Are,” and co-composed the score for the Pixar film “Soul,” earning an Academy Award for Best Original Score. The pregame festivities will also feature Ledisi performing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” the Black national anthem, marking the fifth consecutive year the song has been included in the Super Bowl’s pregame lineup. The event, set to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, will showcase a blend of musical performances celebrating American culture and diversity.
