KAT-TUN to Disband in March 2025, Members to Pursue Individual Paths

The idol group “KAT-TUN” will disband at the end of March 2025, as announced on the 12th by their agency, STARTO ENTERTAINMENT. Following the disbandment, member Kazuya Kamenashi (38) will leave the agency, while members Tatsuya Ueda (41) and Yuichi Nakamaru (41) will continue their contracts with the agency as individuals.

KAT-TUN was formed as a six-member group in 2001, and after some members left, they continued their activities as a trio. According to the agency, after nearly a year of discussions with the members, they concluded that “choosing separate paths would be better for the members.” Even after the disbandment, arrangements are being made to provide opportunities for the members to reunite with fans, as per their wishes.

The agency expressed their gratitude, stating, “We sincerely thank all the fans and everyone involved who have supported KAT-TUN for the past 25 years,” and called for continued support for each member’s future endeavors.
