Bonnet initially thought the cancellation email was fake but later confirmed its authenticity. She expressed frustration with Ticketmaster, stating she no longer trusts the platform despite being a loyal customer. Bonnet also noted that she is unlikely to receive refunds for her non-refundable flight tickets.

Ticketmaster has responded to the backlash by offering affected fans a form to fill out for the tour’s promoters to review. A spokesperson stated that the company’s “Expert Abuse and Fraud teams” identified bot activity in some purchases but did not provide further details to avoid aiding touts. The cancellations come amid an ongoing investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) into Ticketmaster’s handling of Oasis ticket sales, including the controversial use of “dynamic pricing,” which led to significant price increases during the initial sale.

Liam Gallagher, Oasis’s frontman, addressed the situation on social media, stating, “I don’t make the rules. We’re trying to do the right thing. It is what it is, I’m the singer. Get off my case.” The band has distanced itself from the dynamic pricing controversy, claiming they were unaware of its implementation.
