Record Store Day 2025; Exclusive Vinyl Releases and Global Celebrations

Record Store Day 2025 is set to return on April 12, marking its 18th edition with an extensive lineup of exclusive vinyl releases from some of the biggest names in music. The event, celebrated globally at over 270 independent record shops in the UK and thousands more worldwide, will feature hundreds of limited-edition releases available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Among the highlights are exclusive vinyl drops from Oasis, Charli XCX, Fred Again, The Cure, Gorillaz, Lou Reed, Air, Rage Against The Machine, and Fleetwood Mac. Oasis will release their singles collection Time Flies… (1994-2009) on vinyl for the first time since 2010, featuring remastered audio and new packaging. Fred Again will debut his Actual Life piano live sessions on vinyl, while Taylor Swift’s Fortnight collaboration with Post Malone will be available on exclusive 7″ white vinyl. Post Malone, this year’s Record Store Day ambassador, will also release his Tribute to Nirvana live performance from 2020, featuring Blink-182’s Travis Barker.

Other notable releases include Gracie Abrams’ Live From Radio City Music Hall, Joni Mitchell’s US Tour Live 1976, and John Lennon’s Power To The People – Live at the One To One Concert, New York City, 1972. Wu-Tang Clan will drop their new album Black Samson, The Bastard Swordsman, featuring unique, handcrafted cover art for each copy. U2 and Brian Eno’s Original Soundtracks 1 will also receive a 30th-anniversary reissue.

The event comes as vinyl sales continue to surge, with 2024 marking a 20-year high in physical music sales. Record Store Day remains a vital celebration of independent record shops, offering fans a chance to connect with rare and exclusive releases while supporting local businesses.
