Teddi Mellencamp, former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, revealed she has been diagnosed with multiple brain tumors and is preparing for surgery. The 43-year-old reality star shared the news on Instagram, explaining that she had been experiencing “severe and debilitating headaches” for several weeks before being hospitalized on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. After undergoing a CT scan and MRI, doctors discovered multiple tumors on her brain, which they believe have been growing for at least six months.
Two of the tumors were scheduled to be surgically removed on Wednesday, February 12, while the remaining smaller tumors will be treated with radiation at a later date. Mellencamp expressed gratitude for the support of her children, family, friends, and medical team, stating, “I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses, and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health.”
Ahead of her surgery, Mellencamp shared a video of herself getting her head shaved, joking, “I didn’t have this look on my bucket list.” She also posted a heartfelt message thanking her followers for their support and prayers. Among those sending well wishes were her former Real Housewives co-stars, including Kyle Richards, who was reportedly by her side before the procedure.
Mellencamp’s brain tumor diagnosis comes just a week after she used her platform to raise awareness about skin cancer on World Cancer Day. The reality star has been open about her ongoing battle with melanoma, having undergone over 20 surgeries to remove cancerous spots in recent years.
