Fox Footy Unveils Star-Studded Commentary Lineup for 2025 AFL Season

Fox Footy has unveiled its star-studded commentary lineup and expanded coverage plans for the 2025 AFL season, promising fans an unprecedented viewing experience. The network will feature dedicated commentary teams and bespoke graphics for every home and away match, including marquee Thursday and Friday night games. Key figures such as Anthony Hudson, Gerard Whateley, Jason Dunstall, and Leigh Montagna will headline the coverage, with Sarah Jones anchoring Thursday night matches and a rotating panel of AFL legends providing expert analysis.

The network is also introducing a “Super Saturday” initiative, offering exclusive live coverage of AFL matches in Victoria and Tasmania throughout the home-and-away season, and nationally for the first eight rounds. This will include a 12-hour broadcast window from midday to midnight, featuring live commentary, special insights, and behind-the-scenes content from the Kayo Call Up competition winner. Fox Footy’s new studio, enhanced graphics, and advanced coaching tools like “Rocket” will further elevate the viewing experience.

The 2025 AFL season kicks off on March 6 with a blockbuster clash between 2024 premiers Brisbane and Geelong. Fox Sports managing director Steve Crawley emphasized the network’s commitment to delivering “the best of the best” for fans, with ad-break-free live coverage and exclusive access to every game. The season promises to be a landmark year for AFL broadcasting, with Fox Footy setting a new standard for sports coverage.
