The 50th anniversary special of Saturday Night Live (SNL) is set to air live on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. The three-hour primetime event will celebrate the iconic sketch comedy show’s milestone with a star-studded lineup of former cast members, hosts, and musical guests. Notable attendees include original cast members like Chevy Chase, Garrett Morris, Jane Curtin, and Laraine Newman, alongside other SNL legends such as Tina Fey, Seth Meyers, Will Ferrell, and Amy Poehler.

However, two prominent alumni, Dan Aykroyd and Bill Hader, will reportedly be absent from the festivities. Aykroyd’s absence is attributed to scheduling conflicts, while Hader has politely declined to participate. Additionally, co-creator Dick Ebersol will not attend due to health issues.

The special will feature appearances by A-list celebrities like Adam Driver, Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney, Tom Hanks, and Robert De Niro, among others. A red carpet pre-show, hosted by Willie Geist, Leslie Jones, and Matt Rogers, will kick off at 7 p.m. ET.

For viewers without cable, the event can be streamed live on Peacock Premium or through live-TV streaming services like Sling, DirecTV Stream, Fubo TV, and Hulu + Live TV. Peacock Premium subscribers can also watch the special on-demand the following day.
