DOJ to Release Jeffrey Epstein Documents Including Flight Logs and Names
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on Wednesday that the Department of Justice (DOJ) plans to release a significant amount of information related to Jeffrey Epstein on Thursday, February 27. The release will include flight logs, names, and other details tied to the late financier, who was accused of sex trafficking before his death in 2019. Bondi emphasized that the delay in releasing the documents was due to the need to protect the identities of over 250 alleged victims, ensuring their personal information remains confidential.
Bondi described the contents of the files as “pretty sick,” referring to Epstein’s actions and those of his co-defendant, Ghislaine Maxwell. The release follows pressure from Republican lawmakers, including Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who has been advocating for the declassification of Epstein-related documents, as well as files connected to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. President Donald Trump had previously issued an executive order directing the DOJ to coordinate the release of these classified records.
The Epstein case has drawn widespread attention due to his connections to high-profile individuals, including politicians, celebrities, and royalty. Bondi confirmed that the documents are currently under review, with the goal of balancing transparency with the privacy rights of victims. The release is expected to shed light on Epstein’s extensive network and the scope of his alleged crimes.
