New Epstein Documents Released by U.S. Department of Justice

The U.S. Department of Justice, under Attorney General Pam Bondi, has released a new batch of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier who died in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. The documents, part of what Bondi called “Phase 1” of the Epstein files, include flight logs, a redacted contact book, and an evidence list. However, much of the information had already been made public during Ghislaine Maxwell’s federal sex trafficking trial, which resulted in her conviction and a 20-year prison sentence.

The released documents reveal names of individuals connected to Epstein, including prominent figures such as former President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and Donald Trump, all of whom have denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes. Other names include celebrities like Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, and Naomi Campbell, as well as Epstein’s associates like Jean-Luc Brunel, who died in jail awaiting trial. Notably, being named in the documents does not imply wrongdoing, as many individuals listed were not accused of any crimes related to Epstein.

The documents also include a redacted “masseuse list,” believed to refer to Epstein’s victims, and flight logs showing travel details of Epstein and his associates. Epstein’s extensive network of connections to billionaires, celebrities, and global leaders has long fueled public interest in his case, particularly regarding his alleged “black book” of clients, which has yet to be fully disclosed.

Bondi emphasized that the release of these documents aligns with President Trump’s commitment to transparency, though critics have expressed disappointment over the lack of new revelations. The Justice Department has indicated that more information will be released in the future, as the FBI continues to investigate Epstein’s extensive network and alleged crimes.
