Devastating 6.8 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Eastern Cuba

On November 10, 2024, a powerful 6.8 magnitude earthquake hit off the eastern coast of Cuba, causing significant destruction in areas already battered by recent hurricanes. The tremor, located 39 kilometers south of Bartolomé Masó, follows an earlier 5.9 magnitude quake and has prompted immediate response efforts led by Cuban authorities, as recovery from Hurricane Rafael continues.
