T-Mobile has expanded its Starlink satellite-to-phone connectivity beta program to include customers from rival carriers AT&T and Verizon, offering SMS text messaging in areas without traditional cellular coverage. The service, powered by SpaceX’s Starlink satellites, is free until July, after which it will cost $15 per month for T-Mobile customers and $20 for others. Future expansions include voice calls and data downloads.
